Audio Mastering - What is Mastering ?
Mastering is the final stage of the recording process before the mass reproduction of your project to CD,
Cassette or Vinyl. At this stage we can ensure the correct track order, correct and maintain consistent
levels and spacing and is the last opportunity to fine tune the recordings themselves.

Most importantly a Master is produced which will meet all industry technical standards, a poor quality
master will only re-produce a poor quality end result.

Equalization, Dynamics control, Compression and Harmonic Balancing can be applied to balance the
audio tracks and to ensure the optimum tonal quality and volume. With the final stages of mastering, fine
adjustments can also be made to subtly shift the apparent mix of the instruments, remove any bottom end
booms or muddyness and "esses" can be tamed.

We can also use Digital editing to replace beats, repeat choruses or compose new arrangements.
Additional instrumentation or sound effects can even be added for further enhancement, if required.

Mastering is the critical link to ensure that the CD, Cassette or Vinyl that will be played on a variety of
sound systems presents your music in the best way possible.

The Mastering facilities at Sounding Ground Studios is not some "freebie" computer download from the
net!, our studio has a combinations of dynamic hardware devices and the latest in professional mastering
software additions.

Each piece of equipment has its very own effect and control on mastering of the final product. We go even one step further with our
mastering services in that we can harmonically balance your music to sound like those hit songs you here on the radio.

Our Mastering Services are very reasonably priced, we have managed to "bring back to life", "make Sh#t shine" to quote a few happy
